Travel tablet

We are using the tablet for movie watching for the kids when traveling. The 4 speakers are loud and colours are rich. The expandable memory makes it great to hold many movies for the kids.

Decent Enough For School

I bought this tablet mainly for school use. This Tablet suited my needs at looking at powerpoints. I disliked that this tablet has no fingerprint reader and the face recognition does not work all the time. Some Apps are not scaled well from the google play store. Bixby is not as intrusive on this Samsung device as others. Overall, a good tablet for low-intensity work for students.

Poor quality

The tablet is not bad but I have found a big issue. Try push on the cover behind and you will see that something pushes on the screen.

The specs list it as having an HDMI output and you can buy a USB to HDMI adapter but the tablet is not capable of outputting any video over HDMI to another device. Very dishonest.

Not bad, but a little heavy and large.

Have not had any major problems with it in 3 months, but I do find it slightly too large and heavy to hold comfortably. I would consider one of the smaller ones if I were in the market again. One of the games I play keeps going in low resolution and the suggested fix is to use something called 'Game Tuner' which is apparently unavailable on this model.

Great media consumption device

This tablet is a great media consumption device. The battery lasts for a long time, maybe twice as long as Tab S2. The screen is nice, considering it's not OLED but just IPS. CPU speed is the biggest drawback of this device, as one is unable to play newer games (Asphalt 8, 9 or Fortnite) without stuttering. However for basic, less CPU demanding tasks (email, web, youtobe etc.) it's perfectly fine.

A great tablet that is easy on the wallet!

True, the webpage does list the wrong processor. But the tablet is a great mid range device. I bought this tablet during cyber week, I have been using it for about a month. It is comfortable to hold for long periods. It is lightweight, almost as light as my old Galaxy Tab S 10.5. It is a great upgrade from my old tablet. The battery lasts over three days with medium use. It is not a premium device, but it is a great tablet that is easy on the wallet.

Solid all around tablet, maybe not the best for reading in bed.

Battery life is very good, my last tablet wouldn't last more than a few hours and I was charging it everyday, this one I can go over a week between charges. Feels sturdy/durable/solid I like the textured back, confident grip The screen is much better than my Nexus 9, bright and vibrant I don't like the aspect ratio my previous Nexus 9 had a more square screen and comparing the two I think 4:3 is better for tablets, more stable for reading in bed, whereas this one always feels top heavy. I think this tablet is a bit heavier than it needs to be, not good for overhead reading. I also miss the front firing speakers of my last tablet, it's fairly easy to block the speakers on this one. For the price I'd say this tablet is an excellent value for a well built entertainment device.

Wrong processor advertised

I returned mine less than 10 mins after purchase due to the processor incorrectly advertised all over on Bestbuy. The tablet includes the SD450 processor and not the 8998/SD845 advertised. Local store still refused to correct their advertising of it.

Okay at best

This device feels like old technology and moves from screen to screen very slowly in comparison to other devices. This device cannot handle running multiple apps at the same time and the sound quality is okay at best. I do not recommend this product. Save yourself some money and get the S3 or S4 tablet or iPad.

Great media consumption device

Decent screen, mid-range specs (Currently this is listed as having a msm 8998 8 core processor, but in reality it is the snapdragon 450). The dolby atmos surround sound is amazing. Sounds will surround you which i would never have thought could work so good on a tablet (make sure to turn it on though, it defaults too off).
